FAQs

At Chica Bloom, we understand that plans can change. Clients may reschedule or cancel their appointments; however, please note our policy for late cancellations and no-shows:

No-Show: A 100% fee will be charged if you do not show up for your appointment.
Late Cancellation: A 50% fee will be applied for cancellations made with less than 12 hours' notice.

To avoid charges, please notify us by text at (281) 826-2264.

If you arrive late, you will only receive the remaining time for your service, as appointments cannot be extended or rescheduled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What is your salon location?

Our salon is located at 5215 E Farm to Market 1960 Rd W, Suite 117, Houston, TX 77069, at Champions Village Shopping Center, inside Phenix Salons Suites at Champions Village, next to the Randalls grocery.

Directions from I-45:

From I-45 Northbound:
- Take Exit 66 toward FM 1960/Cypress Creek Parkway.
- Merge onto Cypress Creek Parkway.
- Turn left onto Champions Village Drive.
- Chica Bloom Beauty is located inside Phenix Salons Suites at Champions Village, next to Randalls grocery store.

Directions from Texas State Highway 249:

From Texas State Highway 249 Northbound:
- Take the exit toward FM 1960 West.
- Merge onto FM 1960 West.
- Turn right onto Champions Village Drive (just after the Randalls grocery store).
- Chica Bloom Beauty is located inside Phenix Salons Suites at Champions Village, next to Randalls grocery store.

What payment methods do you accept?

We prefer cash payments and offer an additional Bloom Point for every cash transaction. Bloom Points can be accumulated towards a free 1-hour custom facial—see our Bloom Points program for details. We also accept Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, tap-to-pay methods and stored payment method used to book your appointment.

Please note that any returned payments must be settled within 24 hours. After this period, a double payment charge of the total cost of the service applies, followed by a $25 daily charge until the balance is settled.

What is the meaning of contraindication?

Anything (including a symptom or medical condition) that is a reason for a person to not receive a particular treatment or procedure because it may be harmful.

Are there any contraindications for facials?

Yes, the following conditions are contraindications for facials:

Active Staph Infection or Cold Sores
Open Wounds or Skin Lesions
Active Rashes or Severe Acne Flare-Ups
Skin Conditions like Eczema, Psoriasis, or Rosacea in Active Phase
Autoimmune Disorders
Recent Cosmetic Procedures (within 2 weeks)
Contagious Diseases (e.g., Chickenpox, Measles)
Other serious infections that may expose other clients to infectious diseases
Other medical conditions, medications, past surgeries, implants and other medical treatments that may prevent certain clients from receiving specific services.

Please note: For the safety and well-being of all our clients, and to maintain the highest sanitary standards, Chica Bloom Beauty reserves the right to refuse service if we believe the client's condition may pose a sanitary risk to others or a safety risk to themselves. We advise contacting your physician if you are unsure whether you can receive skincare or body care treatments or services. We approach this policy with empathy and professionalism, prioritizing the health and safety of our entire community.

Why do I need to book the Welcome Chica or Welcome Gent facial before other services?

We strongly advise all new clients to book the Welcome Chica or Welcome Gent facial before scheduling any other facial service. If you book another facial without having had the Welcome Chica or Welcome Gent facial, we will continue to only use baseline products appropriate for all skin types, otherwise you will be required to sign a release waiver acknowledging that you have skipped the essential consultation and remove any liability from Chica Bloom for any adverse reactions your skin may encounter.

The Welcome facials provide an in-depth consultation to discuss your skin concerns, current products, and at-home regimen.

These facials are perfect for anyone new to Chica Bloom Beauty, those looking to establish a proper skincare regimen, and individuals seeking personalized skincare advice. It helps us understand your skin better to recommend the best treatments and products for your follow up treatments to achieve your healthiest skin.

You'll enjoy a relaxing basic facial, personalized advice for post-care, and receive professional recommendations tailored to your skin's needs.

What should I avoid after a facial?

After a facial, avoid touching your face, wearing heavy makeup, and exposing your skin to direct sunlight. Make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen with at least 30 SPF every day. Refrain from using harsh skincare products for at least 24 hours.

We recommend following the post-treatment care advice provided during your consultation. Using the recommended products ensures the best results and minimizes the risk of adverse reactions.

If you experience any unexpected or adverse reactions, please contact us immediately. In case of severe reactions, please seek immediate medical attention by calling 911.

Post Care Tips:

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin from within.
Follow Skincare Recommendations: Use the skincare products recommended by your esthetician for continued care.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin, even if you're indoors.
